Another housewife finds herself in hot water. Former The Real Housewives of Potomac star Mia Thornton has been arrested for allegedly stealing furniture from a rental property in Atlanta.

Why was Mia Thornton arrested?

According to People, Thornton, who is 40 years old, was apprehended at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Wednesday. She’s currently in custody at the Fulton County Jail “without incident.” A police report explained that the property management company overseeing the condo that Thornton was residing in notified the landlord that furniture had been taken from the home “in the middle of the night” on Oct. 28.

Additionally, the homeowner disclosed that it wasn’t just some of the furniture, but all of the decor that “was in the unit prior to their move in.” On top of that, the homeowner alleges that Thornton stole a TV. The estimated value of all the stolen items is $11,000.

As Blavity previously reported, Thornton’s arrest comes after her former castmate, Wendy Osefo, and her husband Eddie Osefo, were arrested and released on bail for insurance fraud tied to an alleged fake burglary. Thorton made comments about Osefo’s arrests via Instagram Live when the news broke.

“I had no idea of what was even going on,” Thornton said at the time. “I’m shocked.”

“I’m very, very shocked because I felt Mrs. Four Degrees had it together,” she added, laughing. “I mean, isn’t Eddie an attorney?”

When did Mia Thornton leave ‘The Real Housewives of Potomac’?

On April 21, after four seasons on the show, Thornton announced she was leaving RHOP via Instagram. She shared that she wanted to move from the DMV area to Atlanta for “a new beginning.”

“With every new season comes a new beginning and I have some news to share. My family and I have made the decision to relocate to Atlanta, and with that, I will not be returning to The Real Housewives of Potomac next season,” Thornton captioned her post. “The past four seasons have been an unforgettable journey one filled with growth, lessons, and so many incredible memories. I want to thank Truly Original, Bravo, NBCUniversal, and Andy Cohen for believing in me and giving me the space to share my story. To my castmates: thank you for the laughs, the lessons, and the unforgettable moments. And to the amazing fans, your love and support has meant everything to me. I’ll always carry that with me.”

“This next chapter is already full of exciting opportunities, and I can’t wait to take you all along for the ride. Big things are coming…” she continued. “I don’t just make headlines — I make History. Atlanta, brace yourself. The empire has expanded. #LegacyInTheMaking”
