Jermaine Fowler and Justin Long are on opposite sides of a street vampire war in the upcoming “vampire horror cop-thriller” Night Patrol.
Directed by Ryan Prows from a script by Prows, Shaye Ogbonna, Tim Cairo and Jake Gibson, Fowler stars as a Los Angeles police officer who realizes that the streets he’s sworn to protect are still in danger from a threat he never knew about–vampires.
According to the synopsis, he “must put aside his differences with the area’s street gangs when he discovers a local police task force is harboring a horrific secret that endangers the residents of the housing projects he grew up in.”
Who else stars in ‘Night Patrol’?
The film also stars RJ Cyler, Freddie Gibbs, CM Punk, YG, Flying Lotus, Dermot Mulroney, Jon Oswald and Nicki Micheaux.
The trailer shows that the film is a creative commentary on the tense relationship between police and the Black communities they are supposed to protect, but often prey upon instead. Also, just as Sinners before it, vampires are used as a metaphor for the already scary reality of white supremacy. Overall, fans of Sinners and other films that tackle today’s issues through genre storytelling will like what they see in Night Patrol.
When does the film premiere?
Check out the trailer below. Night Patrol premieres in theaters Jan. 16, 2026.
