The Real Housewives of Potomac star Gizelle Bryant’s daughter, Angel, celebrated a significant milestone in her collegiate career at Spelman College.
She has officially joined her mother in being a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is a legacy member, which, in Divine Nine terms, means that she has a parent in the org.
Gizelle Bryant announced that her daughter Angel is officially an AKA soror
“CONGRATULATIONS ANGEL who is now my SOROR,” she captioned an Instagram post. “Tears of joy and pride I have felt all day. LEGACY! Welcome to the beautiful pink and green world of Alpha Kappa Alpha”
Bryant posted two photos, one in which she is posing next to her daughter and a second in which Angel is seen at her induction ceremony.
Angel’s twin siste, Adore, also publicly congratulated her: “NEVER BEEN MORE PROUD!” Adore wrote in an Instagram Story. “love you so much sweet 16.”
Bryant has three daughters who are all currently enrolled in college. Grace is currently a junior at Florida A&M University, while Adore is attending Hampton University.
Angel is following in her mother Gizelle Bryant’s footsteps as an AKA member
In becoming an AKA, Angel is following in both her parents’ footsteps. As Blavity reported, her father, Jamal Bryant, is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi, while her mother joined Alpha Kappa Alpha during her time at Hampton University.
Last month, Bryant celebrated her 35th anniversary as an AKA. She shared the news on social media alongside photos of her wearing her AKA jacket during homecoming.
“Celebrating 35 YEARS of @akasorority1908 come thru @gammatheta_akas love my line sisters #AWingAndAPrayer” she captioned the Oct. 25 post.
