The new trailer for the upcoming The Muppet Show ABC and Disney+ special has Miss Piggy and Sabrina Carpenter sharing diva attitude.
The special brings The Muppet Show back for one night when the Muppets entertain audiences with their special brand of comedy and music. Carpenter, whose kitchy and campy aesthetic goes hand-in-hand with The Muppets, joins the cast as a special guest. Executive producer Seth Rogen also shows up for the fun.
Who else is featured in the special?
The special includes the performances of veteran Muppet performers Bill Barretta, Eric Jacobson, Matt Vogel, Peter Linz David Rudman and Dave Goelz. Goelz, who has performed with The Muppets for over 50 years, is also one of the original The Muppet Show performers, originating characters including Gonzo and Dr. Bunsen Honeydew.
Executive producing with Rogen includes his Point Grey Pictures execs Evan Goldberg, James Weaver and Alex McAtee. The Muppets Studio’s David Lightbody, Leigh Slaughter and Michael Steinbach also executive produce with Carpenter, Vogel, Jacobson and Albertina Rizzo.
