After welcoming her parents, Lil Wayne and Toya Johnson, onto her podcast, Heir Time, Reginae Carter invited her siblings — Kameron, Dwayne III, and Neal — on the show for a candid conversation about growing up as Weezy’s children.

According to The Grio, Kameron, whom the rapper shares with actor Lauren London, also spoke about his close relationship with his mother. A clip from the episode quickly went viral on social media, charming fans and sparking praise for the 16-year-old and the siblings’ strong family dynamic. Neal, also 16, is Lil Wayne’s son with R&B singer Nivea. Dwayne III is one year older than them at 17, and his mother is Sarah Vivian.

Here’s what they shared on the show and how fans are reacting to the Carter siblings’ close bond.

Kameron and Dwayne open up about struggling to form genuine relationships in school

Complex reported that a curious Reginae asked her younger siblings if having Lil Wayne as a dad complicated their school lives and ability to make friends.

“I would say growing up, my first impression of school was difficult because I would walk around and hear like, ‘Oh, that’s Wayne’s son.’ I was little, so I didn’t really get it, and I didn’t like it,” Kameron said on the episode.

Contrarily, Reginae said she “loved” and encouraged the attention she received for being the rapper’s daughter.

Kameron explained he “didn’t care about all the attention” because it made it difficult to “garner real friendships.”

“That was hard, and I had to learn how to do it,” he shared. “But once I got acclimated and once I got used to it, I found the right people, and it was fine. But it was for sure difficult at the beginning.”

Reginae said it was “great” that he was so young and had that “mindset” before Dwayne, who Lil Wayne shares with Nivea, jumped in and opened up about his “terrible” experience attending a private school when he was younger.

“They would all be pressed about me the whole time,” he explained. “And they kept trying to ask me crazy questions. You don’t know how many crazy questions people done asked me. And the funniest part is the people who started to care less was when I went to public school.”

Kameron says Lauren London is his ‘best friend’

During the episode, Kameron also opened up about his close relationship with his mom, whom he called his “best friend.”

“She’s a very strong, strong woman and resilient,” he praised. “She’s always just been the best mom she can be, no matter what’s been going on. I can’t ask for a better mom, even in the circumstances that she’s been in.”

Later, Kameron gushed about his mom’s career, revealing he sometimes weighs in on roles she’s considering.

“Sometimes ‘Yeah you should.’ Like, for example, ‘Darling I,’ the Tyler the Creator music video with Willow. I said, ‘Yeah you should 100% do that.’ That video is amazing, so many powerful Black women in there, and Tyler’s just an amazing artist, genius,” he shared.

The 16-year-old also gave his dad his flowers.

“Both of my parents are very dedicated, very hardworking, very smart people, and they have instilled those straight to me,” he said on the show. “I’d say most of all, like both of them had to strive for greatness to get to where they are, and I feel like I took that the most, because in everything and anything I do, I don’t want to be anything less than great.”

Reginae’s interview with her brothers on Heir Time proved to be a hit with fans, amassing close to 500,000 views two days after its release.
