The first extended trailer has been released for Y: Marshals, the Yellowstone spinoff which will be the first spinoff of the show set in the present day. The show will air on CBS.

The series sees Luke Grimes return to the role of Kayce Dutton, which he originated on Yellowstone. The cast also includes Logan Marshall-Green, Arielle Kebbel, Ash Santos, and Tatanka Means, as well as Gil Birmingham and Mo Brings Plenty, who are reprising their Yellowstone roles.

It is one of a trio of Yellowstone spinoffs coming, including Paramount+’s The Dutton Ranch and The Madison. There’s also the prequel series, 1944 coming, which joins the likes of other prequels, 1883 and 1923, which have ended.

What’s ‘Y: Marshals’ going to be about?

Here’s the official description:

With the Yellowstone Ranch behind him, Dutton joins an elite unit of U.S. Marshals, combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana. Kayce and his teammates – Pete Calvin (Marshall-Green), Belle Skinner (Kebbel), Andrea Cruz (Santos) and Miles Kittle (Means) – must balance the high psychological cost of serving as the last line of defense in the region’s war on violence with their duty to their families, which for Kayce includes his son Tate (Merrill) and his confidantes Thomas Rainwater (Birmingham) and Mo (Plenty) from the Broken Rock reservation.

The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios. Executive producers are Taylor Sheridan, David Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Spencer Hudnut, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Michael Freidman, Luke Grimes and Greg Yaitanes.
