Taylor Swift hasn’t been on our radar since she did an abysmal cover of “September,” but she’s back, and the Beyhive is ready to sting.
Swift opened the Billboard Music Awards on Wednesday night with her new single “ME!” It’s a cute-ish song, but the music wasn’t the most interesting part of the performance.
Tay Tay started her performance with a drumline dressed in all pink.
The presence of the band was already a Beychella callback. It was nowhere near as clean and in sync (no Timberlake) as an HBCU band, but they were adequate, we guess.
The similarities didn’t stop there. When Swift finally appeared, sis must have thought she was Sarah Fierce with her sequined outfit and attempt at a strut.
OK, girl.

The Beyhive got wind of her performance, and its members swarmed. Swift’s performance was dubbed Mayochella.
Yall really gonna jump on John Witherspoon's internet this morning and try to convince folks that Taylor Swift didn't bite Beyonce. Like this performance just so happens to occur after Beychella starts to get attention? Lol ok. pic.twitter.com/5f9Uh5YGQc

My favorite part of #mayochella is when Taylor Swift walks out on stage and you can tell she practiced that white feminist mediocre pussy hat of a power stance 1,000s times..

This isn’t the first time the “Bad Blood” singer was accused of copying Beyoncé. Swift’s video for her 2017 single “Look What You Made Me Do” drew comparisons to the “Formation” video, as Blavity previously reported. Mayoncé needs to chill.
There is only one, and she ain't it.
