The Last of Us is recasting a key character ahead of Season 3.

Danny Ramirez, who originated the on-screen version of Manny in Season 2, is not returning for Season 3. His exit from the show is attributed to scheduling conflicts, per Variety.

Because of this, the show is recasting the role. It is unclear which specific project Ramirez has that is conflicting with the Season 3 shoot. He is in post-production for Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday, which has undergone reshoots, and should be expected to return for its sequel, Avengers: Secret Awards.

Ramirez plays Joaquin Torres / Falcon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, originating the role in Disney+’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and reprising that role in Captain America: Brave New World.
