Oprah Winfrey has officially sold a Spanish-style home that was once part of her expansive Montecito estate to Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo in a $17.27 million deal.

When did Oprah originally purchase the home?

The 71-year-old media mogul originally purchased the home from Hollywood legend Jeff Bridges in 2019 for $6.85 million, which has since become part of her impressive portfolio of Hollywood properties over the last 20 years, according to Realtor.com.

The home, built in 1919 and “extensively renovated” over the years, features a 3,500-square-foot primary residence with two bedrooms, four bathrooms, exposed-beam ceilings, hardwood floors and five fireplaces.

Additionally, the four-acre estate includes a guesthouse, a carriage house with an office and bonus rooms, equestrian facilities, gardens, an orchard, and a pool and spa.

Levine, 46, and Prinsloo, 37, plan to make extensive renovations, viewing the property as an “exciting opportunity” for their family, according to a spokesperson for the couple.

They also purchased a nearby home for $12.5 million in November, which the couple will likely live in during renovations to their new residence, per Realtor.com.

Levine and Prinsloo previously sold a $60 million Montecito home, and they are now joining a neighborhood of high-profile residents, including Oprah, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Oprah has downsized her estate, selling several properties in recent years

Oprah purchased her main Montecito property, which she calls the “Promise Land,” for $50 million in 2001. Since then, she has gained multiple parcels around the estate and has sold several of them over the past few years.

She recently sold a nearby property to Friends star Jennifer Aniston for $14.7 million, and two smaller cottages that were initially part of the estate were also sold to her longtime friend and trainer, Bob Greene, for $2.3 million.

According to the Robb Report, Oprah became the first Black woman to appear on Forbes’ billionaire list in 2003, featuring a $150 million real estate portfolio spanning California, Hawaii and other areas.
