Reality TV star Natalie Nunn said she flipped the script on Cam Newton during her appearance on Friday’s episode of the Funky Friday podcast.

What did Natalie Nunn say about her interview with Cam Newton?

SoSeriuzRadio shared a TikTok video Tuesday of Nunn, 41, discussing her experience with Newton on the podcast, and how she “played the game right back” based on his direction of the interview, including what the “Baddie CEO” called “manipulative” and “underlying” questions.

“They will try you in these podcasts, and that’s the new thing nowadays,” Nunn said. “Used to be radio interviews and all those things. They will try you. They will play in your face. They will ask you manipulative, sarcastic, underlying questions. They will do all of that. Baby, let me tell you, I read the room, understood it right from the beginning, and played that game right back.”

Nunn continued, stating that she “amplified it on 10, ate that man up, interviewed him, spit him out, took his hat, and walked up out that b***h and actually had fun.”

Nunn said her responses were meant to throw Newton off

The TV veteran said she had fun giving Newton the runaround on his show, dodging questions that she believed were “disrespectful” and “sarcastic,” and she said that the former NFL player was not about to “play in my face,” according to the video.

She said her responses to Newton’s questions were calculated, especially when it came to those about women, relationships and money.

“When he said stuff about, so why should a man take a baddie serious? Like, I already knew, so I said the things that I knew a man like him doesn’t want to hear when a woman makes her own money,” Nunn explained.

Did Shaq really buy Nunn her first car?

Also during the interview, Nunn revealed that NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal bought her a $21,000 car while she was attending USC in the 2000s, Blavity reported.

“Shaq bought me my first car,” Nunn said, noting that it may have been off-topic.

Newton appeared puzzled after Nunn revealed that information, asking whether she and Shaq had dated.

While Nunn insisted she never dated Shaq, Newton still had questions about why Shaq would buy her a car, especially since he was married at the time to his now-ex-wife, Shaunie Henderson.

“Something ain’t adding up,” Newton said repeatedly.

Nunn detailed how Shaq had purchased a 2004 Volkswagen New Beetle for her: “I was at USC. He bought me a bug, a brand new convertible bug,” she told Newton, according to First Sportz. “I was in college and he played for the Lakers.”

Newton could not believe what Nunn said, asking, “You dated Shaq? Make it make sense.”

Though he may have believed they were dating, Nunn clarified that they were never together.
