Crooks scored 47 points in a single game on Sunday during the Coconut Hoops Blue Heron Division Championship game against Indiana. It marks the third time that she has reached 40 points in a game, according to The Athletic.
The basketball player has scored in double figures in 75 straight games. She also holds the longest streak by an Iowa State women’s basketball player, as well as the longest active streak in NCAA women’s basketball, according to the university.
At the moment, Crooks is ranked as third on the national level with an average of 24.9 points per game on a time average of 24.4 minutes. She follows Florida’s Liv McGill and Notre Dame’s Hannah Hidalgo in the rankings.
Audi Crooks broke a 1984 Iowa State record last month
In November, Crooks had already broken a record when she scored 43 points in just 20 minutes of a game against Valparaiso. As Blavity reported, the program record has previously been held by Tonya Burns, who scored 42 points in a game against Nebraska on Jan. 18, 1984.
“It’s not really about the accolades and the records,” Crooks said at the time, according to CBS Sports. “Of course, it’s an honor to be etched in school history, but it’s about, like, ‘Who did it with you?’ It’s not about the destination, more the journey, so just incredibly grateful to be surrounded by such great people.”
Iowa State will next play against Northern Illinois on Dec. 7, before competing against Iowa on Dec. 10.
