Wunmi Mosaku is joining the upcoming sequel to The Social Network, The Social Reckoning, which is set at Sony Pictures.

According to Deadline, the Sinners star’s role is still under wraps. But she will star alongside Mikey Madison and Jeremy Allen White. Madison plays a Facebook engineer who gets help from a Wall Street Journal reporter (White) to uncover Facebook’s “most guarded secrets,” according to the article.

Also starring with Mosaku, White and Madison are Jeremy Strong and Bill Burr. Aaron Sorkin, who wrote The Social Network, will direct from his own script. Sorkin will also produce with Todd Black, Peter Rice and Stuart Besser.

When will ‘The Social Reckoning’ be released in theaters?

The Social Reckoning will head to theaters Oct. 9, 2026.

Mosaku’s star keeps rising as she turns in one iconic performance after another. Her latest as Annie in Ryan Coogler’s Sinners has been her most cherished by audiences so far, but she had previously gained new fans during her turn as B-15 in Marvel Studios’ series Loki. Before that, she starred in HBO’s sci-fi/fantasy/social commentary genre series, Lovecraft Country.

What Wunmi Mosaku previously said about the roles she takes

Mosaku told Blavity’s Shadow and Act while doing press for Loki‘s second season in 2021 that she focuses primarily on her characters’ journeys when diving into her roles.

““It’s all about where they start and where they end and how they get there. I’ve always said, all I care about is a good story and I don’t care who I play in a good story. I do really think that the best stories all the characters have a journey,” she said. “I feel that’s the thing that now I want to make sure that is [at the forefront] of every role I take is that the journey is intercut and fully rounded. I feel that’s the case in this for sure, in His House and Lovecraft Country. I feel like the journey of the character is rich.”
