Chris Pratt and Charlie Day are back as the voices of Mario and Luigi in the upcoming The Super Mario Bros. sequel, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
The new official trailer picks up from where the last film left off, with Bowser (Jack Black) turned miniature and trying to turn over a new leaf. However, Bowser Jr. comes to take his father back and take over the kingdom once and for all.
Also, Super Mario Galaxy game fans will be excited to see Princess Rosalina using her magic to save herself and her kingdom.
The new trailer also comes with the news of the addition of Brie Larson and Benny Safdie to the cast. The film stars Pratt, Day, Black, Anya Taylor-Joy, Keegan-Michael Key and Kevin Michael Richardson.
Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic return to direct from a screenplay by returning screenwriter Matthew Fogel. Illumination’s Chris Meledandri and Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto produce with Nintendo and Universal Pictures co-financing. Universal Pictures will release.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie comes to theaters April 3, 2026.
