Netflix has dropped the first official trailer for The Rip, the upcoming film starring Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Teyana Taylor and Steven Yeun.

The trailer’s release follows a teaser trailer released back in September.

Here’s the logline: Upon discovering millions in cash in a derelict stash house, trust among a team of Miami cops begins to fray. As outside forces learn about the size of the seizure, everything is called into question — including who they can rely on.

Who else stars in ‘The Rip’?

Sasha Calle, Catalina Sandino Moreno, with Scott Adkins, and Kyle Chandler also star in the pic. Joe Carnahan is the director, and he wrote the film based on a story he did with Michael McGrale. Producers are Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Dani Bernfeld and Luciana Damon. Executive producers are Kevin Halloran and Michael Joe for Artists Equity.

What’s in the new trailer for ‘The Rip’?

The new trailer showcases tension and temptations among the law enforcement. As Affleck posed to Netflix’s Tudum, “It begs the question: what do you do when faced with this massive temptation? What does that mean? What’s it like to see that up close? And then also, who do you trust?”

Speaking about the relationship between his character, Detective Sergeant J.D. Byrne, and Damon’s Lieutenant Dane Dumars, Affleck said, “Dumars has just been promoted. We’ve been peers for our [whole] careers, and now he’s been made the boss of the group.”

Damon added, “They know that it’s almost certainly cartel money that belongs to very dangerous people who are probably going to come get it. They’re on the clock, and they have to start thinking of defending where they are because they can’t just leave.” Cue gunfights, car chases, and rooftop shootouts. This is The Rip. You won’t want to miss it.

When does ‘The Rip’ premiere?
