Never underestimate the power of social media.
According to ABC Action News, Elijah Rutland, the creator of the viral meme of a Black Rolf from the classic cartoon Ed, Edd n Eddy, has nabbed a spot working on a children’s show for the streaming giant Netflix.
As part of his animation internship with Warner Bros., Rutland, a graphic design student at Florida A&M University, will be working on the Netflix show Green Eggs and Ham, based on the popular children’s book by Dr. Seuss.
The series will chronicle the friendship between inventor Guy-Am-I and Sam-I-Am as they embark on a trip across the country.
Narrated by Keegan Michael-Key, Green Eggs and Ham is slated to star Daveed Diggs, Jeffrey Wright, Diane Keaton, and Tracy Morgan. The series is set to premiere on Netflix in the fall of 2019.
Rutland’s elation at his new bearings with Warner Bros. was evident in his tweet yesterday (June 24).
