Rapper Young Thug, aka Young Thugger, continues his streak of artistic controversy.

Earlier in the year Young Thug announced his upcoming project to be titled Easy, Breezy, Beautiful Thugger Girls. The title is a play on the iconic Easy, Breezy, Beautiful…Cover Girl campaign launched for the Cover Girl brand in 1997. But when the lead promotional video for Mr. Thug's upcoming work dropped in June, the project was renamed to simply Thugger Girls.

The video features a gang initiation in the form of woman-on-woman violence. The promotional trailer begins with a young woman preparing for her day. When she walks outside she is randomly jumped by a gang of ski-masked women in black stretch pants and onesies. The camera pans over the victim's bruised face as she is punched, kicked, and even hit with a bat while screaming on the sidewalk. Later the victim is seen with a duct taped face and now having been initiated, the prize for her mental and psychological damage is the reward of spending time with Young Thug. She is now a coveted "thugger girl". Seems legit.

Suspicions of potential legal woes using the beauty brand's slogan were recently confirmed when a Cover Girl rep stated, "Violence and abuse are unacceptable behaviors. We do not support the use or association of our iconic slogan, 'Easy, Breezy, Beautiful, CoverGirl ' with Young Thug’s video, album or promotional materials."

This is not the first time the gender-bending rap artist has come under fire for perceived abuse towards women. Last year he recorded himself calling two black airport workers "nap headed ants" because he had missed his flight.
