Sabrina Carpenter featured a surprise guest during her Los Angeles stop of her Short n’ Sweet Tour. Saturday Night Live cast member and comedian Marcello Hernández was called out from the crowd by the singer. He participated in her tour segment in which she arrests a crowd member for being “too hot” before performing her song “Juno.”

“My name’s Domingo,” Hernández said, referencing a popular character he plays on SNL.

“I wish you were from my bedroom,” Carpenter replied.

“I’m the cute boy with the blue jacket and the thick accent,” he sang to the tune of Carpenter’s hit single “Bed Chem.”

“Is there anything you want to say before I arrest you, Domingo?” she finally asked.

“Came all this way, had to explain, direct from Domingo. Sabrina’s a friend, she’s like my sis, but I would hook up, though,” he replied by following the tune of Carpenter’s number one hit song “Espresso.”

Hernández became a recurring SNL cast member in 2022 and was promoted to a series regular this year, according to Salon. As one of the show’s youngest cast members, he has a loyal following across social media, especially over on TikTok.

Born and raised in Miami, Hernández’s mother and father are from Cuba and the Dominican Republic respectively, according to People. He is the fourth SNL Latino cast member and often brings his heritage to his sketches, including through his popular impression of Bad Bunny and a recurring character inspired by his mother.

“A lot of the jokes I say and the stuff that I write has to do with our relationship growing up,” Hernández told Variety. “She went through a lot to get to the U.S. and to make a name and a world for herself, so I respect her very much and I trust her judgment.”

Hernández regularly performs stand-up shows around New York City and has opened for comedians like Dave Chappelle, Colin Jost and Jo Koy.
