Actress Ashley Blaine Featherson has been teasing everyone with photos of her looking bomb AF for weeks, and now we know why.
The Dear White People star portrays rapper Wale’s leading lady in the music video for his new single, “Black Bonnie.”
The premise of the video follows a couple through three different areas as Wale’s ode to black women plays in the background.
The first look we’re treated to is distinctly African. Featherson and Wale look like they could be next in line for the Wakandan throne. She slays with her voluminous hair and that bright African fabric against her beautiful skin.
The Black Panther Party inspires the next era. Featherson sports an afro that stretches toward the sky and looks sleek in all-black everything.
Then we get a look from the '90s complete with a short haircut reminiscent of Nia Long’s ‘do from Friday and doorknocker earrings. The white leather pants fit her like a glove, and that coat looks like it came outta Lil Kim’s “Crush on You” video. Sis even hit the homegirl squat for the one time.
The last look was modern, and she slayed that, too.
Featherson famously said, “The world is not kind to the Kellys of the world” on Dear White People, but anyone who would disrespect her ain’t got good sense.
