Here’s your first look (via trailer) at TNT’s supernatural drama series Proof, which stars Jennifer Beals as a brilliant but somewhat jaded female surgeon, still struggling with the devastating death of her son, who begins investigating cases concerning reincarnations, haunting, out-of-body experiences, and other supernatural phenomena. 

Joe Morton co-stars, playing the tough and intimidating chief who runs the hospital where Beals’ character works.

Also Edi Gathegi plays a Sudanese hospital intern tasked with finding proof of life after death.

TNT will premiere the series in early 2015, as a mid-season entry.
