The preliminary results of the 2016 presidential election have been shocking for many, and for others they have just enlightened us to things we already should have known. CNN commentator Van Jones got choked up when thinking about Donald Trump’s America and what that means for us as black Americans, as well as other minority populations. He discusses the “whitelash” that caused these election results, and how this was caused by the fear of a changing country and fighting back against a black president.
