Lil Wayne’s Young Money APAA Sports Agency has signed Travis Hunter.
The Mirror reported that the Dallas-based company would handle his NFL contracts and on-field representation as he forgoes his senior year at the University of Colorado Boulder and prepares to enter the 2025 NFL Draft as an expected top three pick.
According to Front Office Sports, several sports agencies, such as Athletes First, CAA and WME, were in talks with the 21-year-old Heisman Trophy winner who played as cornerback and wide receiver, but Weezy’s came out on top. Young Money APAA Sports Agency also reps new Duke quarterback Darian Mensah, who recently signed a two-year, $8 million name, image and likeness deal, and Colorado defensive end Jehiem Oatis.
The outlet mentioned hints that Hunter might sign with Young Money. In his Heisman acceptance speech, he shouted out Tunechi. After the ceremony, Young Money APAA Sports co-founder and CEO Adie von Gontard shared two photos with Hunter on Instagram.
Front Office Sports also reported that Hunter would remain with the Michael Strahan-co-owned SMAC Entertainment. It handles his off-field representation and helped him with several NIL deals while in college, including a recent one with Adidas.
