Cardi B and conservative pundit Stephanie Hamill had a healthy debate on Twitter over the recently released "Twerk" video which featured the high-profile rapper.

After trading barbs with conservative firebrand Tomi Lahren, the 26-year-old had to defend herself against a horde of angry Trump supporters once again. Her Instagram video calling out Republicans for their role in the government shutdown was celebrated by the left and drew the ire of the right.

Stephanie Hamill, a Daily Caller video columnist, claimed the "Be Careful" artist did a disservice to women because of her appearance in the popular visual.

To her surprise, Cardi B responded to Hamill's apparent attempt at trolling with a measured response reaffirming her stance on the MeToo movement.

"It says to women that I can wear and not wear what ever (sic) I want. do (whatever) I want and that NO still means NO," she replied. "So Stephanie chime in..If I twerk and be half naked does that mean I deserve to get raped and molested? I want to know what a conservative woman like you thinks."

Many of the "Bodak Yellow" rapper's fans and followers agreed with her. In the video, the Invasion of Privacy rapper and City Girls member Yung Miami are seen twerking along a tropical landscape with scores of other Black women with hardly a man in sight.

Fans noted the lack of male presence was intentional in showing women dancing solely for fun and not fulfilling men's desires. Feminist takes claimed the vid was a prime example of women reclaiming their bodies.

However, Hamill disagreed.

"This video, & others like this sexually objectify women, I think this hurts all women & the cause," before claiming that "maybe I'm just a hater bc I can't Twerk."

Like many conservatives, Hamill's outrage was an attempt to get the popular rapper to appear on Fox 5 DC or another one of her shows. Other white women have complained upon the release of the video because of its lack of white women twerking.
