A Detroit woman whose boyfriend's Mercedes Benz was stolen, tracked down the alleged thief and dragged him out of a barbershop by his locs, Fox 2 reports.

Last week, Bianca Chambers attempted to find the vehicle, that she shares with her boyfriend, for three days until she received a tip that the assailant was parked at the 7 Days West Salon. Instead of waiting for the police, who she says wasn’t responding quickly enough to her repeated calls, Chambers took matters into her own hands. In footage captured on her Facebook Live, she confronted the man in the barbershop.

“Excuse me, you got that Benz out there?” she asks.

The man responds, saying something indecipherable, and she replies, “Yes, you do, b***h!” The video then becomes shaky as the confrontation continues.

Other customers in the establishment stepped in to apprehended the suspect while Bianca slashed the tires to prevent escape, then called the police.

"I slashed all the tires and I thought that he was gonna take off and I didn't know how long it was going to take for the police to pull up. And I refused to let him pull off again," she said when recapping the incident to NBC 4.

“You the dumbest criminal of all. I’m the wrong one. I was going to find you,” she said.

According to Michigan Law 764.16, citizens may arrest someone if a police officer asks for assistance, or if another citizen “is a merchant, an agent of a merchant, an employee of a merchant, or an independent contractor providing security for a merchant of a store and has reasonable cause to believe that the person to be arrested has violated (various laws.)”

Second Deputy Chief Rudy Harper says the incident was not a citizen's arrest but an assault by Chambers.

“We’ve got a victim who allegedly stole this car who was assaulted, but he didn’t want to press charges, so Chambers wasn’t arrested,” 2nd Deputy Chief Rudy Harper said. “But that wasn’t a citizen’s arrest; it was a felonious assault. She even admits on the video that she assaulted the man.”

The suspect was taken into custody and charged with possession of stolen property.

When Chambers retrieved her vehicle she discovered it was clean because the man got it detailed.

“They was driving, they was having a good time, they was smoking but, yes, when I got my car, it was very clean," she said.

The suspect has an alleged history of stealing vehicles throughout the Detroit area, sources told FOX 2. His name has not yet been released.
