The Carters are so good at keeping their projects secret; they got the busiest museum in the world to let them secretly take it over.

But how did the husband and wife duo get Paris' The Louvre, home to the Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo and those IG-ready glass pyramids to let them shoot a music video there?

Well, according to a spokesperson from The Louvre, the couple approached the institution about shooting their “Apesh*t” music video in the museum last month.

“Beyoncé and Jay-Z visited the Louvre four times in the last ten years. During their last visit in May 2018, they explained their idea of filming,” the spokesperson said in a statement to Vulture.

Despite the quick turnaround, the museum was down because of The Carters’ enthusiasm.

“The deadlines were very tight, but the Louvre was quickly convinced because the synopsis showed a real attachment to the museum and its beloved artworks.”

The rep refused to share the price Bey and Jay paid to rent the museum, but The New York Times reported renters commonly pay $17,500 to film in the space.
