Jessica and Kevin Hollinger were arrested in Springfield, Oregon, on Easter. The two were seen on video yelling and screaming slurs at a Black family enjoying the holiday in their yard.

Rashonda Matthews said her family was enjoying the holiday in their yard when Jessica Hollinger and her husband approached them out of nowhere. Jessica bumped one of Matthews' family members and began screaming the N-word at Matthews and her children.

"She approached me in my face and started saying it multiple times," Matthews said in an interview with KEZI. "We laughed cause like, 'Wow,' like, 'OK, something's not right with you."

On Facebook, Matthews wrote that Kevin pulled out a knife as he and his wife yelled slurs at them. Jessica Hollinger even pulled down her pants at one point in the video, exposing herself to the children playing in the yard.

“I said ‘there’s kids around, this is totally inappropriate,’” Matthews told local news outlet WWSB. "So be it, you're racist, that's fine. Just take it away from us. We don't want to hear it. We don't want to feel it. I don't want my kids to ever experience it."

The Springfield Police Department has charged Kevin with disorderly conduct and unlawful possession of a restricted weapon by a felon. Jessica Hollinger was charged with harassment, disorderly conduct and trespassing.

"It's a sad world we live in y'all…on Easter with our kids out playing we were called the N-word, just for being Black and outside I guess," Matthews wrote on Facebook. "Before the video started she had pushed my brother, and her man pulled a knife and threatened my brother! Let's make this video viral, and publicly shame this b****. They were arrested and children taken to CPS! Sad for those babies but also think it's a blessing for them!"

Rashonda said her family often had to deal with racism in Springfield and added people needed to do better, especially on a holiday like Easter.

"You know, we bleed the same color. We are no different. I work every day, put in a good 9 to 5, take care of my kids. I don't feel like I should be treated different because of my skin color," she said to KEZI.
