As their first project for Netflix, former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama have bought the rights to The Fifth Risk, a book by Michael Lewis detailing the messy transition period for the Departments of Agriculture, Commerce and Energy between the Obama and Trump administrations. The Obamas want to develop The Fifth Risk into a series for the streaming service.

According to The Hollywood Reporter via Deadline, the book, which has become a New York Times’ best-seller since its publishing date of October 2, details how employees of the three departments waited for Trump officials to arrive, only to realize that either there were not enough officials or they didn’t know enough about their new positions.

The Obamas first announced their production deal with Netflix in August. They said in a statement their deal plans “to cultivate and curate the talented, inspiring, creative voices who are able to promote greater empathy and understanding between peoples, and help them share their stories with the entire world.”

“Barack and I have always believed in the power of storytelling to inspire us, to make us think differently about the world around us and to help us open our minds and hearts to others,” said the first lady in August. “Netflix’s unparalleled service is a natural fit for the kinds of stories we want to share, and we look forward to starting this exciting new partnership.”
