South Florida rapper Kodak Black drew ire for expressing his intentions to pursue slain rapper Nipsey Hussle's longtime partner, Lauren London.

During a live Instagram broadcast over the weekend, the "Zeze" rapper remarked about London's appearance and claimed he would wait a year to be in a relationship with her. It is implied he wanted an intimate relationship with the 34-year-old actress and model.

"Lauren London that's baby, though. She about to be out here single," Kodak said. "She’s finna be a whole widow out here. I’ll be the best man I can be for her. I’ll give her a whole year. She might need a whole year to be crying and s**t for him."

The 22-year-old tried to clarify his statements by claiming he isn't trying to "shoot his shot." He wanted to be her friend or someone she could "lean on."

"I ain’t trying to shoot [my shot] at her. I’m saying, listen. She can do two, three years. I’ll try to be like the friend if you need to holla or a shoulder to lean on. She can call my line."

Despite his attempt to clarity, fans, rappers and a Los Angeles radio station came out against the artist accused of raping a South Carolina high school student. The Game instructed Kodak to keep Nipsey's name out of his mouth. The most vocal among the crowd was Atlanta-based rapper and business mogul T.I.

"Hey, Kodak Black: You outta pocket, n**ga. Fix that s**t—quickly, expeditiously" Tip said in a video. "[…] If I see you, I’ma say it to your face. You outta pocket, n**ga. Get your motherf**kin' self together."

Kodak Black reportedly responded in a live video of his own, stating he was in Georgia if Tip wanted to talk.

"T.I., man, I don't care. I’m in Georgia right now. I don’t care,” Kodak said.

Los Angeles radio station Power 106 FM will reportedly stop playing the rapper's music due to his disrespectful behavior. Power 106 FM DJ Justin Credible wrote Saturday on Twitter the station stands with "the family of Nipsey Hussle and are appalled by the disrespectful and poor comments made by Kodak Black.”

Idle threats aside, the 22-year-old backtracked Sunday and apologized for his comments on London.

“If I disrespected you Lauren London, in any shape or form, I’m sorry, even though I didn’t,” he said. “And rest in peace to dude. Y’all already know what I said. I said dude encouraged me to do [expletive] for the community. But, anyhow, my bad to them two."

However, the rapper maintained he would be willing to confront any person who had beef with him. He said he is on tour in Georgia and will be Norfolk, Virginia, just in case anyone wanted to talk.

Within the past two weeks, Kodak Black has been at the center of various controversies due to his wild — and often — ridiculous statements.

He received backlash for expressing a desire to sleep with openly gay rapper Young M.A. in a previous Instagram video.
