Idris Elba is set to debut his latest project, a boxing reality miniseries for BBC Two.

Elba will host Idris Elba’s Fight School. The four-part miniseries will feature seven young people who are facing economic and social challenges in their lives. The seven participants will learn fundamentals for life, such as “discipline, focus and determination” according to the description, over a six-month period of living and training together in the London-based school. Along with their boxing champ trainers, Elba will mentor the students based on his own experiences from his Discovery series Idris Elba: Fighter.

Elba said in a statement he wanted to start the program in order to teach young people other ways of making it in life without weapons.

“I see history constantly repeating itself and can empathize with these kids,” he said. “I believe there is a better way to teach people that you don’t need knives to protect yourself. It’s a proven fact that in urban areas where fight schools open, violent crime drops dramatically–which is why I wanted to do this project, in hope that we can change people’s lives.”

“I want this project to be an ongoing presence that will continue to provide support and education for the community for years to come,” he continued.

The series will be produced by Elba’s Green Door Pictures and Workerbee, which also produces Elba’s Quibi series Elba vs. Block.
