Any makeup lover knows that removing makeup is just as important as the application of it. For dry skin, I’ve found that it can be super difficult to really get the makeup and dirt off your skin and out of your pores. So to help me out, I decided to purchase a spinning facial brush. After some research and watching reviews of the ‘Vanity Planet Spin for Perfect Skin’ brush, I decided it was the best option for me.

I purchased the brush from Ebay for only $21. I have to admit I was pretty stoked considering that the brush retails at $100 and the coupon only brought the price down to $30. As soon as I got it, I decided to do a full face of makeup to really test out how well it would remove all that gunk from my face.

Before using the brush, I wiped my face thoroughly with some makeup remover wipes. The VP brush comes with four different brush heads that all serve different purposes. To get a deep cleaning, I used the cleansing brush. The soap I decided to use was the Noxzema Classic Clean. I started by wetting my face and dabbing the cream onto my face. I then wet my brush, turned it on, and started gliding it over my face. I washed my face a total of two times.

After using the brush once, I would say that I have no desire to use it again. Though the cleansing brush is rather soft to the touch, it was rough on my face. When I was done using it, my cheeks were red and were burning from the micro scratches on my skin.

I also would say that my face still felt yucky after using the brush. It felt like I had makeup on my face, and even when I took a paper towel to wipe off the water after rinsing, there was still makeup on the towel.

Overall, I would say that I was completely disappointed in this product. Not only did it not clean my skin, but it also damaged it by scratching my cheeks. If I had the option to, I would return the product and encourage anyone to try a brand’s brushes on their skin before buying them.
