Tina Knowles-Lawson revealed that she's been mourning the death of Nipsey Hussle and expressed that Beyoncé and Solange have been helping her in the process.

The mother of two of music's most celebrated women recently sat down for a guest appearance on the podcast Meaningful Conversations with Maria Shriver.

Metro UK reports Lawson told the journalist and former first lady of California how she, her two daughters as well as her "bonus children," Kelly Rowland and niece Angie Beyince, have been uplifting one another.

“It’s like I have four girls," Lawson said on the show. "And it’s so funny because we are always on group chats."

"We’ll be on a group chat for two hours, just going back and forth and laughing about something or being sad about something," she said of her busy family.

People reports when detailing what the women have been discussing in the group, the 65-year-old answered, “I’m sure you heard about Nipsey Hussle being killed; the sadness about that and the disappointment."

"He’s on my son-in-law’s label and my son-in-law [Jay-Z] loved him so much,” she added.

Like many other celebrities, Bey paid tribute to Hussle on Instagram shortly after his death.

Nipsey was managed by Karen Civil of Roc Nation's public relations department and was signed to Atlantic Records and his independent All Money In label.

The 33-year-old began to develop a business relationship with Jay-Z in 2013. As Blavity previously reported, the Roc Nation founder bought 100 copies of Nipsey's Crenshaw mixtape, which he famously sold for $100 each.

Most recently, the duo was seen embracing during Roc Nation's Grammy Brunch in February, celebrating Nipsey's 2018 Best Rap Album nomination for his latest release, Victory Lap.

The popular music and management label was also working in tandem with the South Central businessman to end gang violence in Los Angeles. On the day after his death, the late 33-year-old was scheduled to meet with Los Angeles Police Commissioner Steve Soboroff to discuss ways to eliminate the generational violence that plagues the city, Blavity reported.

“He was such a great guy that the whole community is sad," said Lawson. "[B]ut it’s really comforting to be able to be on that group chat and talk about it. It’s like counseling.”
