Bianca Roberson was 18-years-old and set to go to college in the fall when she was killed in a road rage accident in June. The suspect, 28-year-old David Desper, has finally been charged with murder.

According to NBC 10 Philadelphia, Desper and Roberson were trying to merge into the same lane. After a game of cat and mouse, Desper pulled a gun and shot Roberson in the left side of her head before he sped off. Her car was found in a ditch where she was pronounced dead at the scene.

A few days later, after a reported "dramatic manhunt," Desper turned himself in.

Finally, Desper has been charged with first-degree murder as well as third-degree murder, criminal homicide, recklessly endangering another person and possession of an instrument of crime with intent to use it criminally. The Smith & Wesson .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun used to kill Roberson was purchased legally, according to court documents, and Desper was licensed to carry.

Now, since his charging, the resurgence of this horrifying story has gotten the attention of more people who are calling for justice for Roberson whose life was cut so unfortunately short. It has also joined the conversation of gun control following the call for reform since the February school shooting in Parkland, Fla.

"This is a story of a savage and senseless murder," Chester County, Pennsylvania District Attorney Tom Hogan said.
