A woman caught spewing racial slurs toward a Black couple has had her home burglarized.

New Haven Police said Corinne Terrone’s house was broken into on Monday, according to WTNH. The thieves stole copper wiring from her garage which resulted in damage to the ceiling and wall.

There was also other unspecified damage done to the property.

The former school secretary made headlines and resigned from her position after she was filmed yelling "n****r" at a couple in the middle of a grocery store, as Blavity previously reported. She also spat at the pair.

Terrone stepped down from her job with Hamden Public Schools after the video went viral.

"The language the employee used in the video is in conflict with the values of the Hamden Public School System,” the school said in a statement. "Someone who will use that sort of language in any setting, whether public or private, is not someone we want anywhere near our children.”

Unfortunately, Terrone was never charged with a crime because the police department could not get in contact with the couple, according to The New Haven Register.

“We’ve done everything we can up to being able to charge her with a crime,” East Haven Police Lt. Joseph Murgo said on March 18. “We have everything we need, just the victims to charge her with something.”

Murgo said Terrone could be charged with disturbing the peace and assault based on the footage.

“The video sums it up,” he added. “We know what happened.”

The police department and school district officials also filed a child protective services report because her daughters were present during the incident. The status of the case is unknown.

“We don’t know what’s going on, but that message may be getting relayed to the children and we’re mandated reporters,” Murgo said.

The police department is still investigating the incident.
