New York City will be the college home to Kasseem Dean Jr., the son of Swizz Beatz and his ex-wife, Mashonda. On Sunday, they shared pictures and videos of their son being surprised by his family and friends on his 18th birthday.
Additionally, the celebration honored Kasseem’s new year and acceptance to New York University. While his parents and stepmother, Alicia Keys, surrounded him, fans watched several posts on each of their individual Instagram pages.

The videos show Swizz, Mashonda, Alicia and other family members wearing NYU hoodies and waiting in a room to surprise him. When Kasseem Jr. entered the room, everyone yelled, “Welcome to NYU! Happy birthday!”
