Remember when the French Open's president tried to dim Serena Williams' black glory light by banning her Black Panther catsuit from the competition?

Just like the flexible queen she is (mentally and physically), the athletic multi-champion decided to shake off the ban by marking her return to the skirt-life in a leveled-up way. Y'all knew she couldn't just return to regularly scheduled programming right?

According to the Huffington Post, Williams stepped onto the court during the first round of the U.S. Open against Magda Linette rocking a Louis Vuitton x Virgil Abloh x Nike collaboration tutu number.

To put the finishing touches on the outstanding outfit, Williams wore NikeCourt Flare trainers and fishnet compression tights, (advanced compression to prevent blood clots was the true purpose of the damn catsuit in the first place, but we digress).

Williams was also a fan of the look calling it perfect for play.

"It's easy to play in," Williams said in the post-game news conference. "Kind of aerodynamic with the one arm free. It feels really good. Yeah, the tutu is easy to play in because I practiced in it before. That was fun."

Oh, and by the way, yes she won her match on Monday: 6-4, 6-0. Because Serena.
