Wimbledon 2016 is truly a sister act.

Venus and Serena Williams exuded great excellence Saturday, scoring their sixth doubles championship and 14th as a duo. How did they do it? From their individual muscle as champions and Serena’s impressive win earlier in the day.
Serena racked up her 22nd Grand Slam singles title in a straight-set win over her opponent, Angelique Kerber. This marks Williams’ fourth time winning both titles at Wimbledon in the same year. Venus says watching her sister dominate is what gave her the strength to perform later in the day.
“Watching Serena earlier was so amazing, and I was so into that. And then you have to reset yourself and say, ‘OK, we’ve got to play a match and we’re going to have to try to win,'” Venus told the BBC. “So she brought the energy from Game 1 and that really brought me up, too.”
Whatever inner beast she summoned, Serena unleashed it on the court.
The money shot.

But she doesn’t take it to the head at all. The BBC asked which sister was the leader of their doubles team. Serena gave the most little sister like answer, pointing at Venus while laughing and responding, “She’s definitely the boss.”
To date, the Williams sisters have secured doubles titles at Wimbledon in 2000, 2002, 2008, 2009 and 2012. They’ll also compete in doubles and singles matchups at the upcoming Rio de Janeiro Olympics. They both have three Olympic Summer Games gold medals in doubles from the 2000, 2008 and 2012 tournaments.
See them in action for yourself.
Their win was for the culture.
