Reality TV star Quad “Miss Quad” Webb of Married to Medicine has confirmed her 3-year-old great-niece drowned on July 7. In a statement to TMZ, Quad’s representatives said the family is mourning the loss of Ari and two other loved ones who also died recently.

“Quad Webb and family have suffered the loss of two beloved family members, in separate occasions, in just one week,” the spokesperson told TMZ. “This has been an incredibly challenging experience for the entire family. Your understanding and support are deeply valued.”

According to WSB-TV, Ari drowned while swimming in Webb’s backyard pool in Atlanta. Two men visiting the home at the time of the tragedy spoke to police about the incident. The visitors said they were in the pool for about two hours, then got out to order pizza. When they returned downstairs, the men said they saw something that resembled a doll in the pool. The pair said they realized the child was drowning and called 911. Ari was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

It’s unclear if Miss Quad was at home when the tragedy happened. The reality show star showed love to her niece when she celebrated her third birthday in April.

“Wow, I can’t believe my baby is 3 years old today!” she wrote. “I remember you falling to sleep laying on my chest. You absolutely stole my heart from the moment I saw you; Ari you’re so special to me and I’m grateful to be apart of your life! I got you forever!!!”

Police describe the child’s drowning as a tragic accident. Webb’s rep said the family is asking for privacy.

“In this trying time, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for the kindness and compassion shown by the public, fans and media,” the source told TMZ. “We kindly request much needed privacy during this period of mourning as Quad is taking time to grieve with her family.”
