While the rest of the world was gearing up to vote, Trump loyalists were jamming to “Don’t Stop the Music” at one of the president's rallies on Sunday.
During his rally in Chattanooga, Tennessee, White House Bureau Chief for The Washington Post Philip Rucker tweeted that the Bajan artist's song was being played as aides tossed “free Trump T-shirts” to the audience.
It’s been said a million times, but here’s a million and one — Trump’s rallies are unlike anything else in politics. Currently, Rihanna’s “Don’t Stop the Music” is blaring in Chattanooga as aides toss free Trump T-shirts into the crowd, like a ball game. Everyone’s loving it.

Only Trump could have RiRi asking to please stop the music.
Not for much longer…me nor my people would ever be at or around one of those tragic rallies, so thanks for the heads up philip! https://t.co/dRgRi06GrJ

Rihanna’s tweet follows Pharrell Williams' cease-and-desist letter to Trump. The entertainment mogul sent the advisory to 45 after his hit song “Happy” was played at a political event which took place the same day as the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting.
Rihanna has also recently been vocal about her political support for Florida's Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum.
“Florida: You have the opportunity to make history this election," Rihanna shared on Instagram:
Other artists like Axl Rose of Guns 'N Roses as well as outraged fans shared their thoughts about Trump's unethical use of certain music.
Unfortunately the Trump campaign is using loopholes in the various venues’ blanket performance licenses which were not intended for such craven political purposes, without the songwriters’ consent.
Can u say “shitbags?!”????

I wonder if he got permission from Rihanna to use her song. I bet he didn't. Most musicians and pop stars hate him.

THANK YOU Rhianna for distancing yourself and saying no to being used to play any part in the demeaning and destruction of America's values, heart and soul by the #unstablemoron in the WH @realDonaldTrump

I love how Rihanna is not afraid of anyone. The way she drags Trump Ugh her mind. Undeniably the most powerful artist on earth! pic.twitter.com/VbRJHfpK21
