Nick Jonas appears to have publicly expressed his support for Elon Musk, who will be joining the incoming Trump administration as the head of the department of government efficiency.

On Tuesday, Musk replied to an article from Tesla Owners Silicon Valley claiming that Tesla’s profits are “up 100 percent” since Trump won the presidential election. He shared a GIF of Nick and his brother Kevin Jonas turning a table, and wrote: “My, how the tables have turned!”

What did Nick Jonas tweet to Elon Musk?

“Take us to the Year 3000,” Nick Jonas tweeted in response to Musk. (The tweet references the Jonas Brothers’ cover of the song “Year 3000,” originally performed by Busted.)

How fans reacted

Fans took notice of his tweet and expressed their disagreement with Jonas’ support of Musk.

Others called out fans’ reactions and asked for more nuance over a single tweet.

Musk’s net worth has reportedly grown to $50 billion since the 2024 Presidential Election, according to Bloomberg. It marks the first time Jonas has expressed support for anyone associated with the Trump administration. In 2020, he congratulated Joe Biden on his election.

“YES MR. PRESIDENT ELECT!!!” he tweeted at the time.

He also visited the White House in 2021 and posted a TikTok featuring Biden and his older brothers Joe and Kevin.

Previously, Jonas used his platform to oppose the passing of a 2016 North Carolina law requiring transgender people to use bathrooms matching the sex on their birth certificate, according to The Independent. The policy was backed by Trump at the time.
