Kobe Bryant recently imparted his “Mamba Mentality” to a fan.

The retired NBA star stopped to take a video with one of his fans, who goes by Timbo Thymes, to send well wishes to his mother. According to Thymes’ Twitter, his mother has been diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer. Thymes, a content creator for SLAM HS Hoops, said he and his mother loved the Los Angles Lakers and the former shooting guard was their favorite player.

In the video, which was posted to Twitter, Bryant told Thymes’ mom that she’s in his prayers.

“God don’t give us nothing we can’t handle. So just know you’re in our thoughts, you’re in our prayers and you’ll be just fine. Mamba mentality this thing all the way through,” he said.

The 41-year-old retweeted the video, adding “all love my brother.”

Thymes hasn’t been the only one recently to be blessed by the Mamba. A few weeks ago, Bryant witnessed a t-bone car crash right in front of him in Newport Beach, California. Instead of fleeing the scene, the former champion got out of his car and approached those involved, according to TMZ. He even directed traffic for a little bit before police arrived on the scene.

Bryant has been busy the last few weeks sitting courtside during NBA games. He’s had a little fun during the games, getting in on the fan experience — including trash-talking players. He was enjoying the Lakers-Mavericks game when he started heckling Mavericks point guard Luka Dončić. The Slovenian basketball player didn’t know who was taunting him until he turned around and saw the GOAT. The two laughed it off and dapped each other up.

Dončić later revealed that Bryant was actually speaking Slovenian.

“I was like ‘who’s talking my language?’ and I saw Kobe and I was really surprised,” Dončić said.

Bryant attended the game with his eldest daughter, Natalia. His daughters have accompanied him to many of the games he’s attended lately.

He went to the Hawks vs. Nets match at the Barclays Center with his second daughter, Giana, recently. Cameras caught the 18-time All-Star explaining the game to the 13-year-old. The cute father-daughter moment has since become a meme.

May the courtside content keep coming.
