Who is Hugo D. Almonte?

According to Rolling Stone, Twitter/X personality and aspiring singer Hugo D. Almonte sparked the recent speculations about Khalid when he shared a photo of himself with Khalid and made accusations.

In the series of posts he published on X, which are now deleted, Almonte said a “gay R&B singer” once “tried to set me up and lie that I broke into his house.”

In turn, Almonte has received backlash for outing Khalid.

As Khalid confirmed his identity, one person resurfaced the singer’s 2022 music video for “Satellite.”

“Then there was the LGBTQ anthem he gave us in 2022 but ya’ll kinda slept. Either way.. hate that Khalid was forced out but he wasn’t ‘hiding’ it. He just didn’t need to TELL nobody,” the person wrote on X.

The Grammy-nominated singer was once again happy to see that his fans already knew who he really is.

“thank you! ! ! ! I was never hiding,” he wrote.
