"Gotham" Season 2 PosterJessica Lucas has booked a series regular role on the upcoming season of Fox’s Batman prequel series, "Gotham," playing a character named Tabitha Galavan, Tigress, a.k.a, a supervillain, who is said to be the lead enforcer for her brother Theo, a billionaire industrialist hell-bent on taking over Gotham.

She’s further described as "sexy and violent," and carries a bullwhip, deriving pleasure from the mayhem she’s tasked with making. Motivated by a vendetta, both Tabitha and her brother Theo Galavan (to be played by James Frain in the series) plan to cause chaos in Gotham City, which will lead to the origins of the Batman villains their characters will eventually become.

"Gotham" returns on Fox September 21.

The series, going into its second season after a successful freshman year, is based on characters published by DC Comics, which explores the origin stories of Commissioner James Gordon and the villains that made Gotham famous.

No official confirmation on whether Jada Pinkett Smith (who stole the show as Fish Mooney, the sadistic gangster boss and nightclub owner) will be returning; although it’s unlikely.

Below is a just-released character poster for Tigress. Above is a poster – featuring the good guys and the bad guys, with Jim Gordon (played by Ben McKenzie) in the middle of it all – for the upcoming season.
