The social media streets aren’t safe anymore. You don’t know who to trust. For the past couple weeks, lines have been drawn over a topic close to us all: grits. What is the proper way to serve them?
Those closest to you have been admitting to the unthinkable.
Most of us grew up with grits as a breakfast staple. But depending on your geographic location or how you were raised, experiences may vary.
So here’s the question that’s stirring the pot: Do you put salt or sugar in your grits?
Pro-salt supporters came out in full force.
Chiming in on the #gritsdebate ya’ll know salt and butter are the only way to go right. You are disrespecting grits adding sugar. Eww

This ain’t no damn debate. If you put sugar in your grits, you’re going to hell. Bottom line. That is a sin! https://t.co/cft7IK6iuk

This debacle is causing a lot of strife within the community, but there’s still one factor everyone’s ignoring.
File this under questions that need answers.
