A petition calls for rapper Bun B to be banned from all Houston sports teams' events because the super fan who made the petition places blame for the teams' losses on Bun B.
According to the Change.org petition, fan Dontralle Brown Reed says that Bun B's support is bad for Houston sports. Reed also questions Bun B's "loyalty" to the teams he reps.
"We have lost players, prime time games and shots at championships every time he's involved from appearances to his songs. The fans are growing tired and this has been going on the past five years. He only comes around when we are winning, so it's only right to ban him from the teams. He is a bandwagon for his image," the petition read.
The rapper made a song for the 2015 Astros called "Crush City" after they made it to the playoffs.
So far, the petition has 163 supporters and when it gains 37 more Reed will send it to Mayor Sylvester Turner, Houston Texans owner Bob McNair, Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey and Houston Astros owner Jim Crane.
But Bun B has supporters. Commenters pointed out that the rapper should not be blamed for the teams' shortcomings. Another also stated that Bun B is a valuable member of the community.
