Grant DuBose of the Miami Dolphins is showing positive results as he remains hospitalized after sustaining a head injury during a game on Sunday. The wide receiver was playing a game against the Houston Texans when he had to be escorted off the field.

DuBose tried to catch a pass when he was hit by Houston’s Calen Bullock in the third quarter, according to WBTV. The football player fell to the ground and was motionless after the collision. He was taken off the field on a stretcher and appeared to be given EKG, an IV and oxygen, according to broadcasters.

DuBose was hospitalized after sustaining a head injury and was said to be in “stable condition” about half an hour following the incident.

“To be on the field, seeing it, and then actually seeing, you know, one of your brothers laying the way he was laying, it’s scary,” Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill said after the game, according to WBTV. “People don’t understand sacrifice that we, you know, have to make playing this game…we know Grant’s a soldier. We all prayed for him as a team and, you know, the word is he’s in good spirits.”

On Monday morning, the Dolphins announced that DuBose has movement in his extremities.

“After sustaining a head injury in yesterday’s game, Grant DuBose remained at a local Houston hospital for evaluation overnight,” the team said in a statement, according to NBC Sports. “He has movement in all extremities and initial tests have revealed positive results. He remains under the care of doctors for continued observation.”
