If you haven’t heard of Tiffany Haddish yet, it is only a matter of time. Haddish is the breakout out star of Girls Trip — the first seriously hilarious comedy in recent memory.
You may have also seen Haddish on The Carmichael Show playing Jerrod’s sister-in-law, Nekeisha.
She is also set to play Tracy Morgan’s ex-girlfriend, Shay, in upcoming TBS sitcom, The Last O.G.
Haddish was recently asked how she felt about her recent success at a press event for The Last O.G.
According to Deadline, she responded, “I feel like a foster kid who has been in the system for a long time and turned 16 and got adopted and they said ‘You can go to college’ and I won’t have any loans. I’m accepted finally!”
Haddish also recently came under fire for some comments she made regarding Bill Cosby, in an interview while she was promoting her movie Girls Trip.
She told the Los Angeles Times, “I still want to work with Bill Cosby … I don’t care, I’ll drink the juice. I’ll drink the juice. I’ll take a nap. I don’t give a damn. But seriously, I would love for him to play my grandfather in something.”
Haddish made the comments while discussing some of her comedic inspirations including Mo’Nique and Richard Pryor, but her comments on Cosby sent Twitter into a serious frenzy.
She got a lot of backlash from social media.

At the same press event, Haddish responded to Cosby comment by saying, “What I said was a joke. I don’t know if you ever have been interviewed before. You do 27 interviews and you’re going to say some bad jokes. I was trying to say I’m not afraid of any kind of job … I don’t agree with what he did, but, at the end of the day, I’m not afraid of the Big Bad Wolf and tried to say that in a humorous way.”
