As the Kavanaugh Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) hearing has been underway, it's been hard to muster any type of emotion outside of disgust and utter confusion. One woman's facial expression has gotten the attention of the masses because her face describes the way anyone with a little sense feels about this whole ordeal.

If you were wondering who the woman sitting behind Senator Cory Booker was, her name is Tona Boyd and she’s his Chief Counsel for the Senate Judiciary Committee. According to her alma mater's website, she is an 2003 graduate of the University of Notre Dame. Getting degrees in political science and Spanish with a minor in peace studies, she earned a Kroc Institute's Yarrow Award which is given annually to an outstanding peace studies student.
Following her time at Notre Dame, she graduated from Harvard Law School in 2009. Prior to landing her current role, she worked as an attorney in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C.
"I started my career doing exactly what I had hoped to do all along," she explains. "[Working for the Civil Rights Divison] allowed me to work for justice, to make sure those who are marginalized have the same opportunities everyone else has. That's how you build a healthy peace."
Her character has been vouched for amid the photo's circulation, leading even more people to stan for a sensible queen.
This woman was my big sister in high school and we are still friends today. She is kind, caring, smart, and powerful as hell. I am sending her strength today. https://t.co/SfUKAhUheU
