Social media is not a safe place. Especially Black Twitter, where anyone and anything can become a meme or the brunt of a joke. Well, Tory Lanez’s indictment was no different. Since releasing his alleged mug shot, Lanez has gone viral, with users mocking his Cheshire cat-like smile for the camera.

Lanez grins as he seems to be wearing a similar pink blazer and white turtle neck outfit like the one he wore to trial.
Online, many users claim to believe it’s his mugshot because of his fresh edge-up and outfit choice. The tweets and comments rapidly grew to make the post viral, and people were quick to spew jokes about his happy demeanor.

Tory was supposed to be sentenced on Jan. 27 but will reportedly be sentenced on Feb. 28 by Judge David Herriford.
The decision to push back his sentencing comes after he hired new layers. Attorneys David Kenner and Matthew Barhoma replaced George Mgdesyan and Shawn Holley following Lanez’s guilty verdict. Lanez could face a 22-year prison sentence.
