Summer is officially over for Belly, Conrad and Jeremiah.
The internet’s favorite love triangle came to an end on Wednesday as Prime Video concluded the third and final season of The Summer I Turned Pretty. Season 3 of the Jenny Han adaptation, which stars Lola Tung, Gavin Casalegno, Christopher Briney, saw many ups and downs for the show’s core three as they navigated grief, changing family dynamics and love. Its conclusion was just as action-packed and fans are still reeling.

Who does Belly end up with, Conrad or Jeremiah?
According to Parade, in the finale, Conrad travels to Paris to see Belly, who he tells he’s in town for a conference in Brussels the next day. The pair tour the city of love as Jeremiah, back stateside, prepared a dinner event as a chef and Denise and Steven planned their move to California. Steven neglected to tell Taylor about the big move, leaving her to find out accidentally. All was eventually remedied and Steven and Taylor ended up together and moved to California. Jeremiah and Denise kiss, and it’s suggested they too couple up.
Back in Paris, Belly invited Conrad to go to a birthday dinner with her, which he did. That evening, he finally told her how he felt about her, and the pair hooked up. However, the next morning, Belly told Conrad that she wasn’t sure about their future, and she sent him on his way.
Later, Belly realized she had made a mistake, and she decided to run after him. She tracked him down at the train station and boarded without a ticket to talk to him.
“Conrad, I choose you of my own free will,” she told him. “If there are infinite worlds, every version of me chooses you in every one of them.”
Then the pair kissed. The show ended with her and Conrad back in Cousins Beach at the house where they first fell in love.
“And just as it always had, the beach house held a million promises of summer and what just might be,” Belly is heard saying in a voiceover.
What happens in the post-credits scenes of ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ series finale?
A post-credits scene shows the couple in the future spending the holidays together.
Another post-credits scene included a message from Han, in which she thanks fans for supporting the show.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the love you’ve shown The Summer I Turned Pretty all these years,” she wrote. “Whether you’ve been with Belly since the very first book or joined us with the show, I’m so grateful you’ve made Belly’s story part of your summers.”
She added, “We put our whole hearts into this show, and we’re so thankful to you for coming along with us on the ride. Maybe we’ll meet again one summer in Cousins. Until then—all of my love always, Jenny.”
How does the book differ from the show?
The finale of The Summer I Turned Pretty deviated from Han’s book series, most notably with the France story, which was not in the books.
In We’ll Always Have Summer, the third book in Han’s series, Belly lives in Spain, not France, after she called off her wedding to Jeremiah. The book included her and Conrad’s wedding day.
Afterwards, Han includes letters Conrad wrote to Belly while she was studying abroad in Spain.
