The potential spinoff of The Equalizer at CBS has cast its leads.

Titus Welliver and Juani Feliz would play the series’ two main characters, and they’ll appear in Episode 16 of The Equalizer‘s fifth season, with the option to become series regulars in the spinoff if it is ordered.

As Variety reported, Welliver will play Hudson Reed, “a former top CIA operative with a dark secret who is connected to Robin McCall (Queen Latifah) by an old mentor.” Feliz is Samantha Reed, described as being “trained by her father to be a weapons expert, skilled martial artist and true chameleon all while hiding a mysterious past.”

The Equalizer is currently one of CBS’ most notable series and has even gained a larger following as older episodes of the series are streaming on Netflix as well.

The original TV series aired in the late 1980s, paving the way for The Equalizer film series starring Denzel Washington.

Welliver spent years playing Harry Bosch on Prime Video’s Bosch and Bosch: Legacy, with the latter set to air its final season this year. Feliz is most known for her role in Prime Video’s Harlem.
