Taraji P. Henson is getting in business with Netflix.
Deadline reports that Henson has signed a two-picture acting deal with Netflix. She will also serve as a producer for each film through her production company, TBH Entertainment. The deal comes after Henson starred in her first Netflix film, Tyler Perry’s Straw.

Henson said in a statement that she feels the deal will help her continue her focus on telling inspiring stories.
“Partnering with Netflix on this two-picture deal is an exciting new chapter for me. I’ve always believed that storytelling has the ability to inspire, heal, and celebrate our shared humanity,” she said. “With a partner like Netflix, I have the opportunity to do that on a global stage. I’m grateful for their trust in me as we start this new journey together.”
Henson is also set to star in another Netflix project soon, aside from her deal
Henson is set to star in another upcoming Perry project, Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Again?. The third film in the Why Did I Get Married franchise includes Perry in an acting role with original cast members Richard T. Jones, Tasha Smith, Jill Scott, Michael Jai White, Lamman Rucker, Sharon Leal, and new cast members Armani Greer, Everett Osborne, Da’Vinchi, Laya Deleon Hayes, Jaden Michael, Charles L. Smith, Derrick A. King and Sydney Winbush. Henson will also star on Broadway opposite Cedric the Entertainer in the Broadway revival of August Wilson’s Joe Turner’s Come and Gone. Debbie Allen will direct the play, which will debut at the Shubert Theatre next spring.
